Getting started
Account and initial setup
What should I set up before recording my first shift?
Verify your account, set your country, currency and language, add your first company, enter its wage rules, and create a local-data backup.
See the first-time setup checklistWhere is the app navigation menu?
After signing in, tap the menu icon in the top-left corner. The drawer contains all main areas, the dark-theme switch, and Logout.
See the navigation guideWill my selected language work without an internet connection?
Yes. ClockNeXt loads the last downloaded catalog from the device at startup. When online, it refreshes the selected language once in the background. Changing language requires a connection the first time that catalog is downloaded.
See language settingsWhy do I need to add a company before clocking in?
Each shift must belong to a company so ClockNeXt can apply the correct hourly rate, break rules, allowances, and Sunday or holiday pay.
Learn how to configure a companyCan I use ClockNeXt for more than one employer?
Yes. You can add multiple companies with separate wage settings. No subscription or trial is required.
See company setupWhy is there no company selector on some pages?
When only one company is registered, ClockNeXt selects and displays it automatically. The company selector appears when two or more companies are available.

Planning and importing upcoming shifts
How do I add an upcoming work schedule?
Open Schedule and choose Add manually. If you have multiple companies, select one; a single company is used automatically. Enter the date, start time, end time, and an optional note, then save it.
See the Schedule instructionsIs Schedule free?
Yes. Manual scheduling, OCR imports, duplication, completion, and mobile reminders are free for registered users.
See Schedule setupCan I import a schedule from a picture or PDF?
Yes. Open Schedule, select a company, and choose Import with OCR. Scan a gallery image, camera photo, or PDF, then review and correct every result before saving. On mobile, ClockNeXt reads the image with the device OCR engine. On web and PWA, it uses browser OCR, then both paths use the same schedule parser.
See the OCR schedule-import stepsWhen does a schedule move to History?
After the planned end time passes, the Mark completed button appears. Tap it to move the schedule to worked-shift History. If you do not tap it, ClockNeXt moves ended schedules to History when the app next checks the local schedule list.
Learn how schedule completion worksDoes a completed schedule count toward my earnings?
A pending schedule does not count. A schedule counts only after it has moved to History, either through Start now and End now, Mark completed, or the local automatic move after its end time.
See the difference between schedules and worked shiftsCan I edit or delete a schedule?
Yes. Open the schedule action menu and choose Edit, Duplicate, or Delete. Duplicate lets you change the date or time before saving a new schedule.
See schedule managementHow do I repeat the same schedule on another date?
Open the schedule action menu and choose Duplicate. ClockNeXt copies the company, times, and note into a new schedule form. Select the new date, make any changes, and save.
See how to duplicate schedulesWill ClockNeXt remind me before a scheduled shift?
Yes on the installed mobile app. When Schedule Reminders is enabled, the phone schedules local notifications one hour before the shift, five minutes before clock-in, and at the planned end time to remind you to clock out. Reminders update when you edit the schedule and are cancelled when you delete, start, end, or complete the schedule.
See how schedule reminders workWill schedule reminders work on web or PWA?
No, not as reliable schedule push notifications. ClockNeXt does not send work schedules to the backend, so web and PWA do not have server-side shift reminders. Use the installed mobile app for local schedule reminders.
See the web and PWA reminder limitWill mobile schedule reminders work when ClockNeXt is closed?
Yes. Android or iOS stores the local reminder, so the mobile app does not need to remain open. Notifications must be allowed in the device settings, and uninstalling the app removes its reminders.

Recording and correcting shifts
How do I clock in and clock out?
Open Tracker, select the company, add an optional note, and tap Clock In. Return to Tracker and tap Clock Out when the shift ends. If today's Schedule has a planned shift, use Start now to clock in from that scheduled shift and End now to clock out.
See the Tracker instructionsWhat if I forgot to clock in or entered the wrong time?
Open History. You can add a completed shift manually or edit an existing shift before calculating earnings or exporting a report.
See how to manage shift historyCan I copy a completed shift to another date?
Yes. In History, tap the duplicate icon on an ended shift. The new form keeps the same company, start time, end time, and note. Change the date or times, then save the new shift.
See History controlsWhy is my History page empty?
If you have multiple companies, select the company whose shifts you want to see. A single company is selected automatically. Also reset the date filter if the selected period excludes your shifts.

Rates and earnings
How does ClockNeXt calculate Sunday and public-holiday pay?
Public holidays use the country selected in Settings. Each company keeps its own Sunday and public-holiday multipliers. A 2.00x multiplier doubles the base hourly rate for eligible hours. If both rules apply at once, ClockNeXt uses the higher multiplier rather than multiplying twice.
See Sunday and holiday wage setupHow do unpaid breaks affect my wage estimate?
A break rule tells ClockNeXt when to remove unpaid time. For example, "longer than 6 hours, remove 30 minutes" changes a 7-hour shift to 6 hours 30 minutes of paid base time.
See break-rule setupCan evening, night, and late-night extras have different weekend rates?
Yes. Edit the company, open each timed extra, choose its start and end time, and enter separate rates for Mon-Fri, Saturday, and Sunday.
See timed-extra setupWhat happens to wage rules after midnight?
At 00:00, ClockNeXt starts a new calendar day. The hours after midnight use the next day's weekday or weekend extra rate and its Sunday or public-holiday rule. For example, Saturday 22:00 to Sunday 02:00 uses Saturday rates before midnight and Sunday rates after midnight.
See the midnight exampleWhere do I change the country used for public holidays?
Open Settings and change Country. That one country setting controls the public-holiday calendar for every company, so there is no separate wage-rule country inside Edit Company.
See regional settingsIs Earnings free?
Yes. Earnings is available without a subscription. Select a company or all companies, choose a date range, and review gross pay, deductions, net pay, and detailed wage breakdowns.
See how Earnings worksWhy are no earnings shown after I open the Earnings page?
Select a date range that contains completed shifts. You can then filter by one company or review all companies.
See the Earnings workflowCan I import worked shifts into Earnings with OCR?
Yes. Earnings uses the same OCR parser as Schedule, but imported worked shifts must be linked to a company and are saved into History. Once they are in History, Earnings and Reports can use them.

Exports and sharing
How do I create a report for my employer?
Open Reports, select the company and date range, confirm the totals, and choose an available export option.
See the report-export stepsWhat features are free?
Schedule, reminders on mobile, multiple companies, History, Earnings, PDF export, Excel export, report sharing, and local backup are free for registered users.
See the feature overviewDo I need a trial or subscription?
No. The subscription model has been removed. Features do not lock after a trial period.
See settingsWhy is Excel export or report sharing disabled?
These actions require a selected company, a selected date range, and shifts in that range. Report sharing also requires a supervisor email in the selected company's settings.
See report requirementsWhere do I manage billing?
New subscriptions are no longer offered because ClockNeXt features are free. If you previously had an active paid subscription, contact ClockNeXt support so the legacy billing record can be handled.

Backups, notifications and referrals
Are my shifts automatically stored in my online account?
No. Work records, schedules, clients, wage rules, earnings settings, and report data stay local by default. Account sync handles account-level information only and does not replace a local-data backup.
See backup and restore instructionsHow do I move my ClockNeXt data to another phone?
Use Backup Local Data in Settings, save the file to cloud or file storage, then install ClockNeXt on the other phone and use Restore Local Data.
See data-transfer guidanceWhere do I find messages from ClockNeXt?
Open Notifications from the drawer. Pull down to refresh, mark messages as read, delete one message, or clear the inbox. Broadcast messages are shown as coming from ClockNeXt Team.
See the Notifications guideHow do I invite someone with my referral code?
